According to the ambassador, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Indonesian President Joko Widodo met at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, Turkey, to talk about the steps they will take as a response to Trump’s decision.
“We will wait for the resolution produced in Istanbul, but we do hope for a firm gesture from Islamic nations for Palestine,” said Zahrain.
Malaysia insists that the issue regarding Jerusalem is the main cause of the conflict in that region and urges every member of the United Nations to not recognize the changed status of Jerusalem.
