Lazada Confident of Meeting Harbolnas Sales Target

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Lazada claimed to have posted the highest traffic among online shops in the National Online Shop Day (Harbolnas) yesterday. Lazada Indonesia Chief Marketing Officer Ahmad Alkatiri said that Google Trends shows that Lazada was topping the chart.

“As of two o’clock [yesterday] Lazada’s traffic on the Google Trends is higher compared to other online shops,” he said yesterday in Jakarta.

Moreover, Ahmad said that Lazada also topped the chart in Google Play and Apps Store. “Lazada’s traffic has gone crazy, far higher than Harbolnas 11.11 [last month],” he said.

Sitting in the second place as of 2 pm yesterday was Tokopedia, followed by Shopee and Bukalapak.

Ahmad was, therefore, confident that Lazada’s sales target would be achieved in three Harbolnas events this year. Ahmad said that traffic had risen during the so-called shoppingtainment after Harbolnas was opened both via app and desktop. Electronic devices, cell phones and fashion items sales dominated Harbolnas, Ahmad said.
