TEMPO.CO, Klungkung - According to Bali’s Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the number of people that were evacuated caused by the eruption of Mount Agung increased to 10,950 people. It is a 3,131 increase from the Agency’s previous data they collected on November 30.
“We accommodated evacuees from Karangasem District who were in the disaster zone,” said Klungkung BPBD Head Putu Widiada on Sunday, November 10.
From the 10,950 evacuees, 521 are students from Klungkung District which consist of 43 kindergarten students, 283 primary school students, 186 junior high students, and 9 high school students.

“Overall, there are 17,167 people of various ages that have been medically treated at numerous health services in Klungkung,” said Putu.
He explained that there were 2,078 patients that are being handled at the Klungkung hospital with a total medical claim of Rp1.7 billion.
Putu said that there were 32 casualties related to the Mount Agung eruption, most of them were elderly people.
