Arini Subianto, from Socialite to Indonesia`s Richest Woman

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - She was originally known for her love of books. Now, Arini Sarraswaty Subianto (Arini Subianto) is the President Director of her family’s parent company, Persada Capital Investama, which has made her as Indonesia’s richest woman.
Arini took control of the multi-million dollar company from her father Benny Subianto, after he, unfortunately, passed away in January 2017.As Benny’s eldest daughter, Arini has been tasked to monitor Persada’s investments in various markets such as wood and palm oil processing products up to rubber and coal processing.
As reported by Forbes, Benny Subianto once uttered his wishes to have at least one of his daughters to take over his business. His wishes were realized when Arini officially took over the family business. She is reported to be worth Rp11trillion which places her as the 37th wealthiest Indonesian and is officially the wealthiest woman in Indonesia.
Arini was already familiar with the business world. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Parsons School of Design, and her Master’s degree at the Fordham University in New York. Arini originally opened a gift shop and furniture in Jakarta, two years later, this mother of two merged her small store with a neighboring bookstore together with her friend since Junior High, Winfred Hutabarat.
“We decided to establish something unique in Jakarta through the experience we got in the US,” said Arini.
Together with Aksara, Arini showed her business-savvy skills and now currently has three Aksara stores in Jakarta which sells various products from books to gifts.
Arini Subianto`s two siblings, Ardiani (40) works for Persada, meanwhile, Armeilia (44) is currently running her own business in graphic design.
