TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Setya Novanto, the suspect of the graft case surrounding the electronic identity cards (e-KTP) procurement project, came to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) office today, Dec. 5.
Wearing a white shirt and an orange detainee vest, Setya was picked up by a silver detainee vehicle. He refused to provide comments for journalists and went straight into the building.

KPK spokesperson Priharsa Nugraha could not confirm the agenda of Setya Novanto’s visit. “I haven’t been briefed [about Setya’s visit]. I’ll ask investigators about the agenda,” he said.
Earlier on November 10, the KPK named the DPR Speaker as a suspect for the second time in the e-KTP corruption case. Since he was named as a suspect, Setya’s case file has not yet been completed and submitted to the KPK’s prosecutor.
Following the suspect naming, Setya filed another pretrial motion on November 16. The House of Representatives Speaker decided to challenge the KPK for naming him as a suspect.
Setya Novanto won the first pretrial lawsuit as sole judge Cepi Iskandar granted his pretrial motion on September 29. Cepi declared that the suspect naming was illegitimate as it was conducted at the beginning of the investigation, instead of at the end of it.
