TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesman Priharsa Nugraha said that the anti-graft agency will attend a pretrial hearing of Setya Novanto, a suspect in the electronic ID cards (e-KTP) graft case, on December 7.
The KPK earlier failed to attend a pretrial hearing scheduled for November 30 and requested a suspension for three weeks. The South Jakarta District Court accepted the request and suspended the hearing for a week.

Setya Novanto filed a second pretrial lawsuit on November 16. The Golkar Party chairman challenges the KPK’s decision to name him a suspect in the e-KTP graft case.
Earlier on September 29, a court overturned the suspect status of Setya Novanto. Sole judge Cepi Iskandar said that the naming of Novanto as a suspect was illegitimate since as the decision was made at the beginning of the investigation instead of the end of it.
