16 Transjakarta Shelters Closed due to 212 Rally Reunion

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 16 Transjakarta shelters of three corridors were closed this morning due to road closures to accommodate the 212 Rally Reunion held at the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta.
Transjakarta spokesperson Wibowo could not confirm how long the shelter closure would last for. Wibowo said the 16 shelters would not be opened until the traffic returns to normal. “[The duration of the closures] is situational,” Wibowo told Tempo on Saturday Morning, December 2.

The 16 shelters closed for the 212 Rally Reunion consists of two shelters in Corridor 1, nine shelters in Corridor 2, a shelter in Corridor 3, and four shelters covered by the HCB-Ragunan and Kampung Rambutan-HCB routes.
Two shelters of Corridor 1 affected by the activity are the Monas Shelter and Bank Indonesia Shelter to Blok M direction. Among corridors affected by the closures were Gambir 1, Istiqlal, City Hall, and Kwitang Shelters. Other shelters include Pasar Baru, Juanda, and Pencenongan.
According to Wibowo, the city-owned bus operator will wait for instructions from the Police to reopen the shelters.
“If the police say the routes can be reopened and served by Transjakarta, the services will return to normal,” Wibowo said.
