Tempo News: Jokowi Inaugurates Asian Games Venue in Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi today inaugurated a number of sports venues at Bung Karno Stadium for Asian Games 2018.
The Presidential Press Bureau said Jokowi would inaugurate four sports venues, namely hockey field, ABS soccer field, archery range, and aquatic stadium.

Based on Tempo’s observation, a number of sports associations and athletes attended the ceremony. Security forces and the Presidential Security Details (Paspampres) were deployed to sterilize locations to be visited by Jokowi.
Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said Asian Games 2018 would be held at 13 venues. “[The constructions] of four venues have been completed, and nine more will be ready by late December 2017,” Basuki said.
Basuki added that the four venues inaugurated today would be tested for the next few days. They are expected to be ready for Asian Games that will be opened on August 18, 2018.
