TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Garuda Indonesia decided to temporarily cancel 88 of its domestic and international flights following the closure of Ngurah Rai airport in Bali caused by the Mount Agung eruption.
“Those 88 flights consist of 42 flights that were planned to land in Bali and 46 flights that were scheduled to depart from Bali,” said Garuda Indonesia VP Corporate Secretary Hengki Heriandono today.

The airline’s passengers that already bought tickets to and from Bali and are affected by the cancellation are given several alternatives by Garuda Indonesia.
The options include rescheduling a passenger’s flight, extend a ticket’s validity period, reroute your travel, eligible for a one-time name change on the airline ticket, or have a full refund that complies with available terms and conditions.
Meanwhile, up to this moment, Garuda Indonesia’s flight to and from Lombok are still canceled, considering that the volcanic ash spread from Mount Agung is still causing disruption to commercial flight routes heading to Lombok.
