TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ngurah Rai Airport is closed temporarily due to volcanic ash of Mount Agung.
State-owned AirNav Indonesia Wisnu Darjono said that domestic and international flights to Denpasar will be diverted to the nearest airports. “Including Juanda, Makassar, Lombok and Kupang airports,” Wisnu said in a written statement issued on November 27.

The latest report says that seven Bali-bound flights will be diverted, namely:
1. Garuda Indonesia GA 5150 Zhengzhou-Denpasar to be diverted to Surabaya
2. GA 897 Guangzhou-Denpasar to be diverted to Surabaya
3. GA 859 Shanghai-Denpasar to be diverted to Jakarta
4. China Easter MU 5029 Shanghai-Denpasar to be diverted to Jakarta
5. MU 781 Beijing-Denpasar to be diverted to Singapore
6. Citilink CTV 856 Jakarta-Denpasar to be diverted to Surabaya
7. Lion Air JT927 Makassar-Denpasar to be diverted to Surabaya.
Ngurah Rai Airport has been closed due to Mount Agung volcanic ash that covered Denpasar sky. Wisnu said that he will continue to monitor the latest development. New information will be forwarded to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) and Volcanology and Disaster Mitigation Agency (PVMBG) that will be conveyed to stakeholders through a fresh NOTAM (A Notice to Airmen).
