However, Luhut called on residents living near Mount Agung to remain on high alert.
Earlier on Tuesday, November 21, the Center for Volcanology and Geology Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) announced that Mount Agung erupted due to a high pressure of water vapor.
“The vaporization occurred as water entered the crater and heated by lava,” National Disasiter Mitigation Agency spokesperson Purwo Nugroho said in Denpasar.
