Alfamart to Build 1,000 Stores in the Philippines Next Year

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya president director Anggara Hans Prawira stated that Alfamart minimarket has built 340 stores in the Philippines. Such a figure makes up 34 percent out of 1.000 stores to open by next year.
"Next year, we will meet the target of establishing 1,000 stores," Hans said in Tangerang on Saturday (18/11).
Hans explained that cooperation in a form of joint venture is made with a business partner in the Philippines. Hans added that it requires Rp1.2-1.3 billion of funds to establish an Alfamart store in the country.
In the meantime, Indonesian Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita stated that the government will keep pushing expansion of Indonesian retails. He added that trade attachés are assigned to assist exporters in retail.
