TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coach Rahmad Darmawan has snubbed Persib Bandung job for next season`s Liga 1.
Rahmad has confirmed that he had held talks with Persib Bandung. The man was disappointed when he heard that he was rumored to have rejected the offer due to salary issue.
“I personally want to say sorry if in the past couple of days there have been negative information being spread on social media about Persib and I. It is not Persib management’s fault, it is our fault and it happened due to miscommunication,” Rahmad said.
He explained that he rejected the offer as he still has a contract with Malaysian side T-Team that will last until next season. Rahmad will have to pay a monetary compensation to the club if he decides to terminate the contract.
Persib are having a coaching staff shakeup after a miserable Liga 1 season.
Persib Bandung finished 13th in Liga 1 final standings, having won 9 times and drawn on 11 occasions in 34 matches.
