TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The public prosecutor of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed a recording of conversation occurred between former Home Affairs Ministry officials Sugiharto and Biomorf director Johannes Marliem. It was found from the recording that there was money from the electronic ID cards (e-KTP) procurement project given to House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Setya Novanto.
“The money was requested for Andi. Andi gave the money to his boss, Setya Novanto. It was not confirmed yet, but it was certain that [the money] amounted to Rp100 billion,” Sugiharto said in a trial for the e-KTP graft case held at the Corruption Court in Jakarta yesterday, Nov. 13.

Sugiharto explained that Johannes Marliem was able to provide Rp60 billion. He suggested Johannes make calculations with PT Quadra Solutions director Anang Sugiana Sudiharjo.
Sugiharto added that Anang, Andi, and Johannes had not reached an agreement in relation to the calculation.
Meanwhile, Anang admitted that Johannes promised Rp100 billion to be used as reserves for the e-KTP project. Anang added that Johannes had pocketed the money. “Johannes told me that he had the money,” he revealed.
When the prosecutor asked whether the money was for Andi or his boss, Anang said, “Probably.”
KPK prosecutor Abdul Basir grilled Sugiharto about the reason of providing the money from the e-KTP project for Setya Novanto. Sugiharto claimed that he did not know that there was money to be allocated for Setya. According to Sugiharto, the amount of the money for Setya was arranged by Johannes Marliem.
