3 Most Reported Social Media with Pornographic Contents

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Social media pornographic contents, either in the form of videos, images, and GIFs, will never disappear from the internet. Taking down one content will always be followed by another thousand emerging, such as the latest case of WhatsApp porn GIFs.
Before the WhatsApp controversy, numerous pornographic contents spread like wildfire in the internet and social media realms such as in Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.

According to the number of reports received by Indonesia's Communication and Informatics Ministry, Twitter is the social media with the most negative contents.
The following are the number of reports and complaints received by the ministry throughout 2016 and 2017 regarding internet and social media pornographic contents:
1. Twitter
2016: 3,211 reports.
January-September 2017: 521,407 reports (most of it happened in August, with 521,350 reports).
2. Facebook and Instagram (combined)
2016: 1,375 reports.
January-September 2017: 513 reports.
3. YouTube and Google (combined)
2016: 1,144 reports.
January-September 2017: 99 reports.
