Kahiyang Ayu`s Wedding Cost Estimated at Rp2bn

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The wedding cost of President Joko Widodo`s daughter Kahiyang Ayu is estimated at Rp2 billion, wedding consultant Yuliningtias said.

Yulianingtias said that wedding organizers typically charge at least Rp80 million for every one thousand guests. She said that despite using the catering service of Kaesang Pangarep, the president’s son, the family still needs to procure the raw materials.

“In my estimation, Rp500 million would be needed for food alone. It’s for the main dish, excluding the snacks,” she told Tempo yesterday, Nov. 8.

Moreover, Yuli estimates that the wedding dress cost for the married couple alone could reach Rp20 million. She added that the estimated costs for family dresses and decoration are estimated at Rp100 million and Rp50 million, respectively.

“And then the wedding photo shoot cost, since Kahiyang had several pre-wedding photo shoots, must be at Rp25 million to Rp30 million,” she said.

The consultant said that the wedding cost of Kahiyang Ayu and the groom Bobby could reach Rp2 billion. “It may hit 2 to 3 billion rupiahs.”

Jokowi, however, has denied that his daughter’s wedding cost was expensive. He said that the wedding is not too dissimilar to others.
