From State Ministers to US Ambassador in Kahiyang Ayu Wedding  

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Many known figures attended the wedding reception of President Jokowi`s daughter, Kahiyang Ayu to Bobby Nasution on Wednesday, November 8. It was held in the President’s hometown of Solo.

The guests comprised of celebrities, state Ministers, up to foreign ambassadors. Such as Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi who took the time to attend the wedding reception despite her busy schedule.

“I tasted the martabak a little and it was delicious,” said Minister Retno who immediately traveled back to Jakarta to welcome South Korean president Moon Jae-in.

Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti was also present at Kahiyang Ayu’s wedding reception. She said that the reception went well and was heavily influenced by the Javanese tradition.

“It was so sacred, very religious, it really compliments the culture. Congratulations Kahiyang and Bobby,” said minister Susi.

Several state ambassadors were also invited, such as United States Ambassador Joseph R. Donovan who said that he was proud to be invited and to witness the wedding of the President’s daughter.

“I pray that Bobby and Kahiyang Ayu will last eternally and have a happy life. I am really happy to be in Solo,” said Donovan to journalists outside of the Graha Saba building where the wedding was held.

He also said that the Javanese wedding procession of Kahiyang Ayu and Bobby Nasution was outstanding and he hoped that he could learn more about the Javanese culture.
