Telecommunications, Increasingly Growing and Promising Business

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Mora Telematika Indonesia (Moratelindo) Executive Director Galumbang Menak believes that telecommunication is a promising business among other businesses. He claimed that the highly attractive communication business causes it to be free of any external disruption.

"During 1998 crisis, a lot of businesses collapsed. However, only telecommunication business thrives and flourishes," he said in Central Jakarta on Friday, Nov. 3.

The high resistance of this communication business, he said, results from human needs to communicate and such a need disregards any condition. Furthermore, the advance of technology in creating communication device has replaced the functions of other devices.

"I am convinced that in the future all personal data including ID, passport, and others will be included in a mobile phone," he added.

Moratelindo which runs communication business, Galumbang said, is already on a business track that will not stop. With such a premise, he is certain that the company will never cease to operate, but it will grow and expand to telecommunication infrastructure development and even the stock market.
