TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Setya Novanto is scheduled to testify in the electronic identity card (e-KTP) trial for defendant Andi Agustinus a.k.a. Andi Narogong, today. Setya had been scheduled to take the witness stand twice before but failed to show up on both occasions.
Fredrich Yunadi, Setya Novanto's lawyer, said that he has received a summons for his client to testify at the Corruption Crime Court, Central Jakarta. "Yes. He will come," Fredrich told Tempo on Friday, November 3, 2017.
The trial will begin around 10:00 am, but Fredrich was reluctant to say exactly when Setya will appear in court today.

Setya has been absent twice. He was first scheduled to testify on October but did not come due to health reasons. On October 20, the Golkar Party chairman also didn’t show up in trial, citing he had other matters to attend.
The KPK had named Setya as a suspect in the same case, under allegations that he played a role in the project planning and procurement process with Andi Narogong.
Setya Novanto then filed to have his suspect status revoked to the South Jakarta District Court. On September 29, Judge Cepi Iskandar granted his demand.
Other witnesses scheduled to attend today's hearing include Junaidi, the head of secretary treasury sub-division of the Home Affairs Ministry's Directorate General of Population and Civil Registry, and Rudi Indrato Raden, the general affairs manager of the ministry's same directorate.
