TNI, Police Reminded to be Neutral During Political Year

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo said that the solidarity built within the TNI and the Indonesian National Police is the key to the security of a region.

General Gatot also revealed that the two instances' solidarity in South Sulawesi can be an example for Indonesia’s security, especially in the upcoming political season. “This must be a guide for everyone because next year, the political season will be started, we must be neutral and remind each other,” said the TNI general.

He also claimed that the highly respectable level of solidarity between the two forces has boosted the economic growth in South Sulawesi that reached 7.6 percent.

General Gatot together with TNI Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mulyono and South Sulawesi Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo arrived at the Galaktika AURI Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar airport this morning.

The TNI Commander is scheduled to inaugurate the Darussalam Mosque located in the Enrekang District in South Sulawesi.
