Persib Coach Emral Abus Apologies over Defeat against Persela

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Persib coach Emral Abus has apologized following a defeat against Persela in Liga 1 at Surajaya Stadium on Sunday.
“It's like a final since had we won we would’ve improved our standing. However, since we lost the match, we have to drop from 11th position. We would like to express our sincere apology to Bobotoh (Persib fans) because we could not get the maximum result,” he said after the match.
Nevertheless, Abus has applauded the Maun Bandung players’ hard work. He said that Kim Kurniawan & Co. have done their best in the game.
“They have shown their dignity to win the game. I believe the players have fought hard,” he said.
Persela Samsul Arif scored the only goal in the match. As such, Persib have never won a single match in their last eight matches.
Persela currently sit in 11th position with 39 points, whereas Persib slipped to 12th with 38 points.
