TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A female elephant calf was born from a mother called Gunturia, in an Elephant Response Unit Way Bungur, Way Kambas National Park, Lampung, on Saturday evening (21/10).
Way Kambas National Park head Subakir said in East Lampung on Sunday (22/10) that the elephant calf was born at 8.30 p.m. The female calf is 99 cm long, with 108 cm bust line, 76 cm tall, and weighs 87 kg. After labor, Gunturia and her calf are in good condition.
Some time ago, another female calf was born from a mother named Riska, and they are in good condition in Way Kambas National Park.
