TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The son of former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, visited former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) at the detention house of the Brimob Command Headquarters in Kelapa Dua, Depok, yesterday. This is an interesting visit since Agus and Basuki alias Ahok had competed in the running for Jakarta governor's seat in the last regional elections.
To his Instagram account, Agus posted a photo with a caption that said he was well received by Ahok. The photo he uploaded is of a piece of paper signed by Ahok, in which he thanked Agus for the visit. Ahok also sent his regards to SBY and his wife Ani Yudhoyono.

Agus hope that the people can have a big heart to appreciate the work and services of previous leaders, whilst giving opportunities and support new leaders to be able to continue successful programs and improve unsuccessful ones.
"Let's unite to build the country," he said.
Ahok is serving a two-year term in in prison after the court ruled him as guilty for defaming Islam during his campaign for governor. At that time Ahok was running for governor along with deputy Djarot Saiful Hidayat, who is in the process of transferring his seat to governor-elect Anies Baswedan.
