TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Executive Director of pollster Charta Politika, Yunarto Wijaya, considers President Joko Widodo or Jokowi as a force to be reckoned with for the 2019 Presidential Election. The survey shows that the electability of the former Jakarta Governor is on the rise.

“Usually, the chance to be reelected is huge when the public's satisfaction towards the incumbent candidate maintains to be over 60 percent,” said Yunarto on Tuesday, October 10. He reasons that the level of public satisfaction is in line to the electability.

Previously, three pollsters released a survey regarding President Jokowi’s electability. The three survey agencies scored similar results suggesting that the president's electability is below 50 percent and Yunarto says that it is caused by the undecided voters.

He reveals that the public's satisfaction at Jokowi’s administration is on the rise compared to previous polls. Yunarto points out the survey conducted by Saiful Mujani Research Center (SMRC) in 2015 which resulted in a 49 percent of public's satisfaction level towards Jokowi's administration.

The increasing trend is followed by Jokowi’s increasing electability from 25.5 percent in 2015 to 38.9 percent.
