TEMPO.CO, Bekasi - At least 600 houses near the Jakarta - Cikampek Toll Road in Bekasi will be demolished for the Jakarta - Bandung high-speed train project. “The land and the houses will be acquired,” Bekasi Land Agency head Muhammad Irdan said today, Oct. 5.
According to Irdan, the houses are located in the southern part of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road from Jatiwaringin to East Bekasi. “The total size of the land is about 6 hectares or 60,000 [square] meters,” he revealed.

Irdan added that the land acquisition process would be executed upon the issuance of a letter from the West Java Land Agency. After the letter is issued, he added, the Bekasi Land Agency will form a land procurement taskforce.
“Ideally, a land acquisition process would take six months,” Irdan said.
However, he revealed that the land acquisition process would be expedited to three months since President Joko Widodo had set a target to complete the train project in 2019.
