TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The land acquisition process at Cipinang Melayu and Halim for the Jakarta - Bandung High Speed Train project would be completed in October this year.
“There are about 250 lots that need to be acquired,” Hanggoro Budi Wiryawan, president director of Indonesian-Chinese joint venture PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) said at the Jakarta City Hall today, Sept. 26.
The lands that are located at Cipinang Melayu are owned by local residents, while those at Halim belong to the Indonesian Air Force. Hanggoro revealed that the National Land Agency has been assigned to measure the lands.
Hanggoro said that he was meeting with Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat to discuss a train station construction on the 14-hectare land owned by the Indonesian Air Force. He added that the area must be sterilized since it is a part of Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport.
“No interactions will be allowed. Fences must be built [around the land],” he said.
Hanggoro expects the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train project to be completed by the end of 2019. He revealed that his company has set a target to operate the high-speed train in the first quarter of 2020.
