Jokowi Attends 2017 National Farm Jamboree

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo attended the 2017 National Farm Jamboree in Cibubur Camping Ground in East Jakarta, Indonesia, today (24/9).

In addition checking livestock brought to the area, Jokowi also had a chat with the farmers.

"Farm Jamboree is a consolidation forum among farming businessmen to support development program of farming and animal health,” Agriculture Ministry livestock and animal health director generalI Ketut Diarmita said on Sunday (24/9).

President also monitored livestock Kaligesing Sheep and Goat contest and Garut sheep agility contest. The winners will be awarded President Trophy presented by Jokowi himself.

In addition, Presidential chief of staff Teten Masduki expects that National Farm Jamboree can be held annually since the event brings considerable benefits.

“President Jokowi also wishes to get closer to the people, especially sheep and goat farmers,” he added.
