TEMPO.COBandung - Head of Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation Center (PVMBG) at the Energy Ministry Gede Suantika denied the rumor saying that Mount Agung in Bali was erupted.

“The alert status of Mount Agung has been increased to Level IV on September 22 at 08:30 p.m. and until today it is not yet erupted,” he told Tempo Saturday, September 23.

There was no sign of eruption. Gede Suantika said volcanic ashes have yet to spew from the top of the Bali's Mount Agung. “Not even any small or big eruptions.”

However, the seismic activity, energy from the seismic movement, and quakes caused by the greater impulse of magma crater could be felt.

Most of the quakes were small. The tremors were originated from the vicinity of Bali’s Mount Agung, were small.
