TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) launched a sting operation in Banjarmasin on September 14.
KPK chief Agus Rahardjo said that the sting operation was carried out in relation to alleged transactions over deliberations of a bylaw. The KPK team confiscated some cash in the operation.

Moreover, the KPK nabbed five people from various backgrounds, including Banjarmasin Regional Legislative Council (DPRD), regional government-owned entities and the private sector. The individuals have been taken into South Kalimantan Police Headquarter's custody.
“They will soon be transferred to the KPK office in Jakarta for further process,” Agus said. The KPK will declare their status in a day.
Yesterday, the KPK launched a sting operation in Batu Bara, North Sumatra. The KPK has arrested Batu Bara Regent O.K. Arya Zulkarnaen for allegedly taking bribes over North Sumatra projects.
