Politician Indra J Piliang Has Been Using Drug For a Year: Police

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police announced that Golkar Party politician Indra Jaya Piliang tested positive for crystal meth. “Based on the investigation, [Indra] has been using the illegal drug for almost a year,” said Jakarta Metro Police Spokesman Sr. Commissioner Argo Yuwono today on September 14.
Indra together with two of his friends was arrested by the police following a suspicion of a drug abuse at a karaoke bar located in Tamansari in West Jakarta on Wednesday evening, September 13.

Police confiscated several shreds of evidence such as a complete 'bong set', a pipe, and a used plastic complete with a gas lighter. Indra and his friends were caught red-handed while they were in the process of smoking the one gram crystal meth.
Indra Jaya Piliang was once affiliated with a Presidential candidate during the 2014 Presidential Election as a member of the campaign team. He was also heavily involved in a campaign team that backed a candidate in the 2017 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election.
