TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Setyo Wasisto said that the police have arrested four individuals in shooting of two police officers in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, on Monday morning.
Setyo said that the police officers were shot after taking their kids to school.
Following the incident, the police have investigated and identified the gunmen. The four alleged perpetrators are now being detained at Bima Police Headquarters.
The Police have seized evidence which includes cell phones, ID cards, two knives, a dagger, a knife handle, machete, catapult, a bag, books and the Qur’an.
Bima Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Ahmad Nurman Ismail said that a shooting incident was started after a police officer Jainal Abidin took his child to school. When he went back to his home, two unidentified men shot him.
Earlier, the policeman was being stalked. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his right shoulder.
On a separate occasion, another police officer named Gafur was shot in the waist by two gunmen yesterday morning also after taking his child to school.
