Prasetyo said that he is currently investigating a report filed against Corruption Eradication Commission chief Agus Rahardjo who is said to be allegedly involved in the e-KTP procurement corruption case. The report was lodged by the Nusantara Islamic Network (JIN).
“We must be careful in investigating the validity of the report,” said Prasetyo during a meeting with House of Representative’s Legal Commission on Monday.

Agung decided to be extremely cautious and to take careful measures in investigating the report to avoid an assumption of politicizing and criminalizing the leader of the anti-graft commission.
JIN reported Agus to the Attorney General’s Office for his alleged involvement in the e-KTP graft case. The report stated that Agus was the Chairman of the Procurement of Goods and Services Agency (LKPP) when the e-KTP project was rolled out.
The KPK had already named five suspects throughout its investigation towards the e-KTP graft case. Two state officials from the Home Affairs Ministry, Irman, and Sugiharto were found guilty. Other suspects are Andi Narogong who works in the private area. Later, the KPK named current House Speaker Setya Novanto and House member Markus Nari as suspects in the same case.
