As of now, the agency is still collecting data on areas affected by the floods and residents that need to be evacuated.
Padang BPBD has deployed 10 rubber boats as part of the anticipatory measures to evacuate the affected residents. "We are now evacuating residents in an area in Arai Pinang," Edi added.
Edi also warned the residents to always remain vigilant because rainfall is expected to remain high and to rescue their belongings that can be damaged due to floods.
