TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Non-profit independent media The Conversation officially releases its product in Indonesia. It continues to focus on the disseminating studies and in-depth analysis for public consumption.

This marks the initial existence of The Conversation in Asia and the seventh edition globally, which includes Australia, UK, Africa, France, United States, and Canada. Their presence here coincides with Indonesia’s commitment to developing its research and science program.

According to the editor of The Conversation Indonesia Prodita Sabarini, it will focus on assisting Indonesian academics and researchers to tell their in-depth analysis regarding the major problems in the public.

“We hope The Conversation can contribute to public debates by providing facts and evidence-based analysis and can become the source of inspiration in searching for solutions to the problems we face together,” said Prodita.

The contents will be directly composed by academics and researchers after it is collaboratively edited by professional journalists. More than 54,000 academics and researchers from 2,120 universities and research institutions globally have contributed to The Conversation in the form of research publication articles or general scientific studies.

The Conversation Indonesia is featured in two languages, Indonesian and English, and has partnered with Indonesian science academy AIPI which also handles the editorial management of The Conversation Indonesia.
