PPATK Follows the Money Trail in Hate Speech Group Saracen Probe

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Police have requested help from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to follow the money trail in hate speech group Saracen probe.
The National Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Martinus Sitompul said that the police are probing various financial transaction conducted by Saracen group and its alleged clients. “Some accounts are being analyzed to find out the money trail, the amount, the client who instruct the creation of fake news,” he said.

Moreover, the police will coordinate with the Communication and Informatics Ministry to monitor social media accounts posting hate speech contents.
The police earlier arrested three suspects who run Saracen website. The group allegedly offered its service of spreading ethno-religious hate speech on Facebook.
