KPAI Wants Teacher Sending Porn Chat to Students to be Punished

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) head Susanto demanded the High School Teacher in North Jakarta sending porn chat to his student to be imposed with heavy punishment.  “KPAI demands the perpetrator to be punished severely, so that it will discourage others having the intention to do the same thing," Susanto said in Jakarta on Saturday(12/8).

He said that the teacher should protect his students, not leading his students to engage in immoral conduct. This case, Santo said, has tarnished education and teacher profession.

KPAI, Susanto added, supports the Police’s quick move to arrest the sender of the porn chat.

Jakarta Police will coordinate with KPAI in handling this porn-related case of an English teacher of a private High School in North Jakarta.

The perpetrator, TS (24), was arrested by Jakarta Police violent crimes unit (Jatanras). "Since the victim is a minor, we need to coordinate with KPAI to discuss how to handle the case and to anticipate possible future development," Jakarta Police violent crimes unit chief Sr. Comr. Hendy F. Kurniawan explained.
