TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - North Korea has outlined its plan to launch four ballistic missiles to the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam.

North Korea’s state run news agency KCNA said that the four Hwasong-12 missiles will be fired directly over Japan to land in the sea, roughly 30km from Guam.

The detailed plan has been approved by leader Kim Jong-un, as Independent reported.

According to General Kim Rak Gyom, commander of the Strategic Force of the Korean People's Army, the plan will be complete by mid- August.

North Korea is angered by US President Donald Trump’s warning and threat after they launched a second test-fire of intercontinental ballistic missile.

Japan's defense minister Itsunori Onodera said they can legally intercept the Guam-bound North Korea missile. Onodera told the country's house of parliament committee that this would be legal if the missile plan is proved to be an existential threat to Japan.

However, experts are saying that Japan currently does not have the capability to shoot down a missile flying over its territory.
