Reza Rahadian Wins Best Actor at Asia Pacific Film Festival

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Reza Rahdian has won the Best Actor award at the Asia Pacific Film Festival held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, for his performance in the film Rudy Habibie.
“Aside from being happy [for myself], I’m pleased that this is an award to the Indonesian film industry in general,” Reza said in Jakarta yesterday.
The man, who was born on March 5, 1987, in Bogor, is proud for being the first Indonesian actor to have received the prestigious award. “I’m very grateful for being appreciated through films. Even more so because [the film] Habibi Ainun is one of the films that mark a historic momentum of my work process in the film industry,” he said.
He admits that he never imagined of receiving such an award. He is grateful that his acting is being appreciated. Other than winning the Best Actor award, the film Rudy Habibie also won the category of Best Music, produced by Tya Subiakto and Krisna Purna at the Asia Pacific Film Festival.
The film Rudy Habibie was nominated in the categories of the Best Film and Best Art Director. Reza Rahadian said that his aim is not to win prestigious awards but to give his best performance at every opportunity.
