TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) on Sunday shot dead a Malaysian national, an Indonesian and arrested three others for smuggling crystal meth in Bengkayang, West Kalimantan.
“Two suspects resisted arrests, namely Cheng Kheng Hoe, a Malaysian national, and Alaw, an Indonesian,” BNN official Insp. Gen. Arman Depari said in a written statement received today by Tempo.

The arrests were made after BNN nabbed a suspect named Ryan. The anti-narcotics agency seized 17 kg of crystal meth from Ryan in Bengkayang, West Kalimantan. “The crystal meth was smuggled from Malaysia,” Arman said.
Having developed the case, the BNN arrested four others: Cheng Kheng Hoe, Alaw, Alvin and Tia for alleged drug possession and dealing, according to Arman.
Arman declined to divulge details of the arrests. He said that the agency continues to develop the case.
BNN confiscated 17 kg of crystal meth, a black Toyota Cayla and mobile phones.
