TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati on Tuesday invited ministers, businessmen, and industry players as well as representatives from state agencies. Sri met them to discuss the process of simplifying import permits, including its restrictions and limitations.
The meeting's attendees also held a joint statement on the International Trade Transaction Simplification and the Implementation of Post Border Supervision.

Ministers who attended the meeting included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita, Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto, the Customs director general Heru Pambudi, and the Presidential Office's chief of staff Teten Masduki.
"We seek to ease and improve formal and legal affairs and have better services and law enforcements. But we also do not want to hamper economic activities," Sri said here on Tuesday.

Sri said the efforts are included in the customs and excise reform, which takes form in the High-Risk Importers Control (PlBT) program.
The program, she said, is a tangible step to addressing the people's demand to combat illegal trade.
