Female Mountain Climber Reportedly Fallen from Mount Rinjani

TEMPO.CO, Mataram - A 29 years old female from Jakarta is rumored to have fallen in the area of Mount Rinjani, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The evacuation team is still trying to find the whereabouts of the victims who reportedly crashed on the way down from the summit of Mount Rinjani.
"The Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR) Sembalun Resort received the report of the incident (the fall of climbers) on Sunday, July 30 at around 18:00 pm. At 10 pm, the evacuation officers went to the location immediately," the TNGR head Agus Budi Santoso told Tempo, Tuesday, August 1.
Based on reports received by TNGR, the victims are part of a group of 28 Jakarta-based climbers. The victim reportedly climbed Rinjani from Sembalun on Friday, July 28.
At the time of the climb, the victim reportedly was wearing a maroon outfit, a gray sweater bearing the patch of 'backpackers Jakarta', as well as a light red scarf.
Agus said the evacuation team found the last trace of the victim.
"Based on the footprints, it is estimated that the victim fell and she fell into the ravine with a depth of about 100 meters or more," said Agus.
Due to weather conditions, the team began searching again while also bringing equipment for evacuation. Meanwhile, 25 mountain climbers companions of the victim, have descended to Sembalun and 2 people including the reporters are already in Sembalun.
