7,000 Jobs Available at South Tangerang Job Fair

TEMPO.CO, South Tangerang - There are 7,000 job openings available at the Job Fair of South Tangerang City 2017, held by the Manpower Office (Disnaker) South Tangerang City at ITC BSD Field. Thousands of searchers crowded the event.

Head of South Tangerang City Office, Purnama Wijaya, said the job fair was held to reduce the unemployment rate in South Tangerang and provide opportunities for companies to open job openings, especially for companies located in the area of South Tangerang.

"The Job Fair involved 58 companies, namely retail companies, provider companies, property, banking, transportation, hospitals, and others," said Purnama, Thursday, July 27, 2017.

Purnama said a total of 7,000 job opportunities were provided by these companies. He hopes this activity can hire as many workers, working to reduce the unemployment rate, in South Tangerang City.

"The Job fair is held for three days, from 26 to 28 July 2017. It is expected that many applicants who will be able to find work from this event," he said.

Purnama added, to handle unemployment and the success of this job fair event, the participation and support of the people of South Tangerang and stakeholders optimally, as well as the synergy between employers, workers and the government is needed.

Muhammad Irsyad, 24 years old, one of the job seekers living in Pondok Cabe, is hoping that he will get a job in this year's job fair. "I have prepared 10 CVs to apply in various companies, many from home have the intention to submit many applications to many companies," he said.
