TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tangerang Jalur Lingkar Selatan (JLS) Suradita in the direction of Muncul, Tangerang District, Banten, which was concreted in 2016, is now sinking. The road is now being destroyed with heavy equipment so that it can be repaired. The road that was previously able to be passed by motorcycle and other vehicles cannot be used anymore.

"There are a lot of springs here, maybe the ground beneath this road is soft," said one local resident, Ramdan, 41, Wednesday, July 26, 2017. He suspects the surrounding land is not strong enough to support the road. In the rain, the water that hits the road is also very hard.

According to Ramdan, the road built in September 2016 with a 100-day work period was completed in December 2016. The road opened in mid-January 2017. "Most vehicles that pass  by this road are trucks."

Shortly the road opened, Ramdan said, the road was beggining to crack. Trucks were diverted to other roads without cracks. "Once they knew the road was cracked, the road was closed."
