TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian said on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, that that he will continue to process the pornographic chat case entangling Islamic Defender Front (FPI) leader Rizieq Syihab.
Earlier, the Jakarta Police named Rizieq as a suspect of the case which also dragged Firza Husein, who has gone through two police questionings.

Meanwhile, Rizieq himself has yet attended any police summonses. Police later put Rizieq in the most wanted list.
According to Tito, police will question Rizieq as soon as he returns from Saudi Arabia.
“The suspect must be questioned at the police headquarter,” Tito added.

Rizieq’s lawyer Sugito Atmo claimed that his client will return to Indonesia during the country’s independence day celebration on August 17, 2017.
Rizieq was also entangled by another case related to an insult against state ideology Pancasila. The case is currently handled by the West Java Police. Tito explains that in the West Java police case, Rizieq’s status is still a witness and is eligible to be questioned outside of any police headquarters.
