TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - Research, Technology and Higher Education Minister (Menristekdikti) Mohamad Nasir urged university students, lecturers and university leaders in Yogyakarta to not join any anti - Pancasila and radical organizations.

"Do not join any organizations that are radical and deny state ideology Pancasila and 1945 Constitution. We need to support achievements instead for better Indonesia," Nasir said in Yogyakarta State University (UNY) in Yogyakarta on Saturday, July 22.

Nasir attended University Antiradicalism Declaration held in UNY. The declaration was attended by students who received Bidik Misi scholarship (a government-initiated university scholarship program for students from poor families).

He stated that students have to uphold four pillars of the life of the people and nation namely Pancasila, 1945 Constitution, the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and Unity in Diversity (Bhinneka Tunggal Ika). In addition, the way Pancasila is taught will be renewed to instill its values and anticipate radicalism.
