Telegram and Indonesian Government Working To Find Solution

RTEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Telegram has offered to work together with the Indonesian Government to solve the issue concerning the existence of terrorist groups that are known to use the heavily-encrypted messaging app to plan terror acts.
According to Presidential Spokesman, Budi Sapta Pribowo, this newly formed teamwork is a direct response from both sides after Indonesian authorities were forced to ban Telegram for security concerns on Friday, July 14.

As previously reported, authorities chose to block Telegram’s domain in Indonesia as a result of letting terrorist groups continue to use their service.
The app’s founder, Pavel Durov, initially questioned the move. But lately admitted guilt for neglecting the fact that there were many dangerous public channels that exist in Telegram. Pavel claims that he has banned the reportedly dangerous public channels.
Johan didn’t specifically explain about what the cooperation would produce. But he asserted that the Indonesian Government plans to eliminate terrorist-related public channels in Telegram.
