TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Golkar politician Ahmad Doli Kurnia said that the party’s cadres participation in the right of inquiry against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has harmed its image.
“An internal survey shows that Golkar’s vote tally dropped to 11 percent, whereas in 2014 general election Golkar won 14.75 percent of the vote. And 67 percent of the cause of the decline is the e-KTP case,” Doli said today in Jakarta.
Doli said that Golkar politicians have proposed poor ideas in the KPK inquiry committee.

For example, the idea to freeze the KPK budget which was expressed by a committee member from Golkar faction.
Doli stressed that the right of inquiry against KPK led by Golkar faction is widely rejected by the public.
According to him, Golkar party will suffer more if the e-KTP case stays unresolved for long, which of course related inqury right against KPK.
