Sarjan believes that, despite the increasing activity, Mt Dukono is still considered safe for residents around the area. Nevertheless, local residents are prohibited from going near the crater up to a 2-kilometer radius. They are also required to wear masks.
"The status of Mt Dukono is still on Level II which means on alert," Sarjan added.
