TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Newly appointed Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat visited Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok, at the National Police’s Mobile Brigade detention center in Depok, West Java, on Sunday, June 18.
According to Djarot, Ahok asked several questions regarding the number of Jakarta administration’s programs that will be rolled out and have been underway.
The programs include the Jakgrosir controlled storage atmosphere (CAS) development project, Semanggi interchange, Transjakarta’s corridor 13 construction, and the regional budget.
Ahok also asked about updates on the construction of the Al Mubarokah mosque at Kalijodo in West Jakarta.
Djarot explained to the media that Ahok has not been able to watch or read the news since he was imprisoned. Djarot promised that he would complete a number of programs before his terms of office end in October 2017. The development projects Ahok asked about were the projects that he initiated before he was named as a suspect in the blasphemy case and received a two-year prison sentence.
