TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Five helicopters deployed bay several agencies will be on standby throughout the Brebes-Batang toll road during the 2017 Ramadan homecoming season.
“There’s one from the Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas). The National Police and the Indonesian Military (TNI) have each sent two helicopters,” Central Java governor Ganjar Pranowo said on Monday, June 19.
Ganjar revealed that the helicopters were deployed to monitor the traffic condition throughout the toll road and provide information for police personnel who were assigned to control traffic on the ground.
In addition to monitoring the traffic, the helicopters will be used or emergency situations
The Pertamina mobile fuel service will also be stationed throughout the toll road. “There will be motorcycle units to aid drivers who run out of fuel,” Ganjar said.
An automotive garage will be stationed in a single location but also has its own motorcycle unit.
